"Street life is not safe for runaway youth. In 2006, 66% of street youth attempted suicide, 44% reported their friends were active in the sex trade. In 2002, 34% were sexually active for profit, 32% slept on the street at least once and 20% exchanged sex for shelter.
Just like your kids, every single street kid started out as an innocent child, full of potential. Can you imagine your child living on the street?
In 2005, it is estimated that there are over 3000 homeless youth on the streets of Winnipeg."
